Lily Jo

Lily-Jo is a pop singer songwriter from Manchester, UK. She comes from a family of musicians and grew up singing in church. In summer 2015 Lily-Jo released her debut EP ‘Need to Know’, after signing a record deal with indie label LIGHT Music, home of popular charting Christian band LZ7. After opening shows for LZ7, Lily-Jo became their female lead vocalist, embarking on a two and a half year journey of invaluable experience touring and performing in arenas and venues all across the UK and Europe, as well as shows in Belarus and at Planet shakers conference in Australia.

In March 2017 Lily-Jo completed her first solo UK tour as the support act for pop artist and UK X Factor winner Ben Haenow. The tour was sixteen dates across the UK and Ireland, playing to crowds of between 200-700 people per night. Lily-Jo is so passionate about meeting people where they are at, whether that is within the church, at a festival, school, or in secular club. She is passionate about inspiring and igniting freedom within her audience.

Not only is Lily-Jo a musician she is also a qualified Counsellor and has a passion to see people living their lives to the full whilst embracing their true potential. In early 2016 Lily-Jo launched an online self help  resource called The Lily-Jo Project. The web resource features information, interviews, videos, practical tools, on the most common mental health issues including; Low mood, anxiety, self harm, eating disorders, childhood trauma, low self-esteem, grief and loss. The resource has been nominated and shortlisted for several awards, and last year won a Premier digital award for ‘best use of digital media in youth work’. Lily-Jo promotes her web resource at her live shows, to date the site has had just over 15,000 hits. Lily-Jo is passionate about going into schools and meeting with young people face to face. She offers workshops on emotional wellbeing and self esteem. LJ has seen girls handing in their (self harm) blades after lessons and moving into a place of healing.  Lily-Jo’s work around mental health has opened doors for her to speak out and be featured in local and national press including; BBC Radio 5 live, BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Breakfast to mention a few. Her music has also been play listed on local and national radio stations throughout the UK and Europe.
